We Make Education Happen
For most Riverbats, education is one of many responsibilities. Think about Ashley. She’s 26, attending part-time, working while caring for her family, and still showing up for an early morning class. Or the parent returning to school for the first time in years. Or the first in their family to attend college.
Every one of them deserves a chance to succeed. Since 1997, the ACC Foundation has connected determined students with scholarships, basic needs support, and the resources to keep going.

“As a first-generation college student and a social worker by trade, I’ve spent 20 years at Austin Community College witnessing how education changes the trajectory of a person’s life, just as it did mine. Even with initiatives like free tuition that open the door to education, students still face the reality of choosing between buying gas to get to class or feeding their children. Their success requires us to think of the student holistically, and that is where the ACC Foundation steps in. My husband and I established an endowment here because we believe that when you give to the Foundation, you aren’t just funding an institution; you are directly removing the barriers that keep a student from finishing their degree. No contribution is too small to make an impact.”
